MISSIONS
Here at CDOBC, supporting missions both in the States and abroad is something that we firmly believe in. 13% of our 2009 budget went towards these efforts. 2011 CDOBC EASTERN EUROPE MISSIONS TRIP

"Go and make disciples of all nations," was Jesus' last command. Have you ever thought you could serve as a missionary to a foreign country? Your Missions Committee is planning on a special opportunity for our members to do just that by serving on a short-term missions trip to Eastern Europe during the late spring or early summer of 2011. The committee is working with the Greater Europe Mission which leads Christian teams to assist churches, evangelical groups, and schools in various projects throughout Eastern Europe. Usually such projects are about two weeks in duration and would involve a commitment to work on practical projects. We ask you to think about this challenge and to pray for God's guidance on how He would lead you to serve. It is not too early to begin your planning now. This would be a wonderful opportunity to truly have a vacation with a purpose. Would you consider this challenge?
2010 CDOBC YOUTH MISSIONS TRIP
This past summer we helped to support 5 students from our youth group as they went on a two week long short-term missions trip to Latvia. They partnered with Josiah Venture, Eventsource Ministries, and a local Baptist church to put on an evangelistic English camp outside of Riga, the capital of Latvia. We are excited for the opportunity our students had to be taken outside of their comfort zone, and to share the Gospel of Jesus in a country that is very secular and non-religious. We invite you to come to the Youth Service on September 26 at 6 PM for a full trip update.
