The Step Family Ministry at CDOBC has taken almost two years to become established. It is only through prayer, guidance, and the Lord's will that we are now a functioning ministry. The purpose of this ministry is to be a faith-based outreach for families or individuals who are, or may become, involved in this exceedingly complex family setting.

 

STATISTICS SHOW:
  • About 65% of marriages will end in divorce
  • There is almost no guidance available for those who remarry and raise children with a new spouse
WE HAVE CREATED AN OUTREACH AIMED AT FILLING THIS HUGE VOID: WE SUPPLY INFORMATION AND PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR:
  • Step parents raising children
  • Step families that have already raised their children
  • Those who may become step parents
  • Extended family members who have relatives involved in a step family situation
OUR PROGRAMS INCLUDE:
  • Christian-based classes
  • Advice & support from those who are, or have been, in a step family situation
  • Listening
  • Fellowship

  • Prayer night
