OPEN  DOOR  9 AM / Room 1

Revelation 3:8 says: “I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my Word and have not denied my name.”

The Open Door Sunday School Class is for all adults--age 18 and up--and meets at 9:00 AM in Room 1. Our class leadership is focused on the command of our Lord to sanctify the flock of God through faithful study of His Word, which is the only power able to accomplish this task.

In this class, there is always opportunity to ask and answer questions or give your comments. We love having vibrant discussions in class! Each lesson stands alone, but also falls within a series. We have just concluded a 2-year study in the book of Acts (our longest series by far). Our present series is called “Dare to Believe,” and is a study of the books of Numbers and Joshua.

THE  BEREANS  10:30 AM / Room 1

The Bereans are a group of people who love the Lord, who want to learn more about the Bible (Acts 17:10-11), and who like to be involved in interactive inductive Bible study. We encourage class members to explore the Scriptures in advance of each class so they can participate in the discussions. Study questions are provided in class to help focus the study for a given week.

We are presently studying the minor prophets. Adults of all ages are welcome to join us. We meet at 10:30 AM in Room 1.

Our primary goals are to facilitate each class member's understanding of the Bible and to engage in Christian fellowship. Our focus is on living the light of God's truth, not on the accumulation of knowledge.

PELOS  9:00 AM / Room 2

We got the name Pelos from the Greek word for clay or mud, which represents the malleable vessel we long to become through God's guiding hands (Isaiah 64:8). Our class is a discussion-based Bible study that works through verses, topics and life by asking questions and studying the Word of God. The overall course of the class is dictated by the interests of the group, and the depth of study guided by our desire to learn, understand and do something about it.

Because the class is dependent upon the input of those attending, we have always enjoyed much diversity of age and life experiences. Many in the group currently have children at home, but all are welcome. Our class ranges in size between 4-15.

COLLEGE PLUS   9:00 AM / Library

This class is intended to provide a forum and focus for young adults as they leave high school and begin the early phases of adult life.  It is based upon Bible Study, and since the Bible deals with all aspects of life from social to intellectual, from joy to grief, from answers to paradox, the class will confront these too.  The gospel is understood easily by children, but challenges the best of intellects, so there is something there for all of us in between.

Our goals for the class include: To know God better (in both His simplicity and complexity), to know man better (as he is created in God's image), to see how God manifests Himself in various aspects of life and His creation, to develop an approach to life as an individual and as a follower of Christ, and to learn not to be afraid. In other words, we are working to come to a Christian philosophy and perspective on life.

Questions we seek to address in the class include: Why does this even interest us? Is man created in the image of God or God in the image of man? What does it mean to be a Christian (lawyer, scientist, writer, athlete, etc...)? What are methods of coming to truth? What is the difference between a conclusion and an assertion?

Our methods include Bible study, class discussion, and guest speakers (mostly professionals from the congregation).

ALIVE & ACTIVE 8:00 AM / Room 1

This class is geared primarily towards senior adults, but all are welcome to come. The method used is exegetical Bible study, and our goal is to become familiar with both the Old and New Testaments as we study God's Word together.

We would love for you to join us!
